AN ORDINANCE AMENDING
THE ORANGE COUNTY UNIFIED DEVELOPMENT ORDINANCE
WHEREAS, Orange County has initiated an amendment to the Unified Development Ordinance
(UDO) to modify some development standards, types of permitted uses, and use standards within the
Hillsborough Economic Development District (EDD) in order to better promote the Hillsborough EDD to
economic development prospects, and
WHEREAS, the proposal has been found to be consistent with the 2030 Orange County
Comprehensive Plan, and
WHEREAS, the requirements of Section 2.8 of the UDO have been deemed complete, and
WHEREAS, the Orange County Planning Board has recommended approval of the proposed
text amendments, and
WHEREAS, the County has held the required public hearing and has found the proposed text
amendment is consistent with the goals and policies of the adopted Comprehensive Plan.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Board of Commissioners of Orange County that the Orange County
Unified Development Ordinance is hereby amended as depicted in the attached pages.
BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED THAT this ordinance be placed in the book of published ordinances
and that this ordinance is effective upon its ado tion.
