lina, met on Rlonday, October Ir, 1954> at 10 o'clock A, i~4., in the Commissioner:

?Sr, S. P. Lockhart of Chapel Hill Township and his attorney, R1r. Bane>
anoeared before the Board in connection with a road leading from a new road
near the Lockhart farm to the home of '•ir. Lockhart. ?.Ir, Rene reo uested th¢t

Chairmen Forrest promised to take the me tter uo uri th the Highvray Depert-
ment to de to rmine if enythin3 could be done to help RSr. Lockhart.
Don S. :3a the son, County Fe rm Agent, introduced Doctor Rogers, Vete ri neriar
with the Fe ds rel Government, who is in this County for the purpose of testing
cattle for bangs disease. I~Ir. 1Aathes on stated the only cost to the County in
this program would be to furnish Dr. Rogers a ha leer.
Upon motion of Commissioner nflend, so co ndad by Co::,missioner Hobbs, it we:
ordered that Orenre County pay the salary of a helper for Dr. Rogers in order
to carry out the program.
A road petition was present ed for e road in Cheeks Tow nshiP running from
Cedar Grove Highway to farm of Peul Richard Shelton, a distance of 310 mile.

Chairmen Forrest reported that he had been contacted by Lirs. dine L]etthexr:
of the Social Security Board, relative to her using the Grand Jury Room in the
ilevr Courthouse for her meetings.
After soma discussion, upon motion of Commissioner Bflend, seconded by
Commissioner Hobbs, the Boe rd rejected the request of Lirs. ?ftattheers.
tdrs. Jere Parker, Superintendent or public t'~elfere, reported that she had
closed the Chapel Hill Office.
Upon motion duly made and seconded, the Board approved the -'ollowinr,
changes in P.id to 311 nd Grants: Ctargeret Rt. Clark--rejected; Hattye R.
Rey--increased.
Rtrs. ?arker stated that she had some other changes to be made in Aid to
Blind Grants, but did not have thorn complete at this time. The Board approved
these changes end authorized the Cha irmsn to sign same when presented to him.
