November 1, 1994 - Regular Meeting November 3, 1994 - BOCC Work Session November 10, 1994 -BOCC Bi-monthly Work Session November 15, 1994 - Regular Meeting BACKGROUND: In accordance with 153a-42 of the General Statutes, the governing Board has the legal duty to approve all minutes that are entered into the official journal of the Board's proceedings. RECOMMENDATION(S) : Remove from the Consent Agenda those minutes requiring further discussion and place under item XII. Insko was nominated by the voters of Orange County to the Orange County Board of Commissioners in the Democratic Primary of May, 1990, and WHEREAS, Verla C. Insko was elected by the voters of Orange County to the Orange County Board of Commissioners in the General Election of November, 1990, and WHEREAS, Verla C. Insko has since December, 1990 served the citizens of Orange County with great distinction as a member of the Board of County Commissioners, giving freely and unselfishly of her time and energy and through her foresight and leadership helped promote many progressive changes in the operation of Orange County Government, and WHEREAS, Verla C. Insko has given generously of her time, talent, special knowledge, and leadership skills through her service on numerous community, County and State committees and councils among which include her service on the Emergency Medical Services Advisory Council, Library Board of Trustees and the Social Services Board as well as short-term committees such as the School Ad Hoc Committee,the Justice Facility Study Group and the Monitoring and Maintenance Committee, and WHEREAS, Verla C. Insko having served four years in the office of County Commissioner of Orange County did not seek renomination to this office in the Democratic Primary of 1994, NOW, BE IT RESOLVED, that the members of the Orange County Board of Commissioners wish her and her family every happiness in the years ahead and directs this Resolution be presented to Verla C.
