Tha Soerd of Covnty Commissions ra of Orange County convened at a special
meeting at the Courthouse in Hillsboro on Thursday, August 19, 1954 at 2:00
o'clock P.Lf., With all members present.
The purnoae of this meeting .was to receive and open bids on the Heating
Contract for the New Courthouse basement.
The following bide were opened and reed by Architect Archie R, D¢v is:
Dixon Chrlstopher Co. 5 ,850.00
Alli¢nce Heating Co. 4,175.00
H, A, Sugns Plumbing & Heating Co. 2,988.00
Bagwell Heating Co. 3,900.00
Paschall »ros. Ae sting Oo. 3.248.00
After a discussion of those bids with Architect Davis, the following
motion was made by Commis aioner Efland and seconded by Commisa inner Hobbs:
That the low bid be accepted and the contr¢ct be awarded to R. A. Suggs
Plumbing & Heating Compan~r> Durham, N. C „ amount of this coatr¢ct to be
ti2,988.00.
There being nofurther business to conduct, the mae ting was adJourned.
