YOUTH SERVICES NEEDS
This Task Force has recently reviewed their By-Laws in order to
up-date them and to consider a name change to the Youth Services
Advisory Commission. They will review them for a final time at
the November 15th meeting and then forward them to the Board of

AGENDA
RULES FOR PUBLIC COMMENT
1. Explain the handout - you first have a reprint from Popular
Government which explains the types of zoning decisions and
types of proceedings. On page 31 at the top it gives the
statutory guidance for legislative public hearings. The
statutes allow the governing board to "adopt . . . . "
Geof can summarize the types of hearings or answer questions
if we have any.
2. Second you have a survey of how other counties handle citizen
input. Marvin will talk about how citizen comments are
handled in other areas as well.
3 . I have listed the different times we receive public input. If
we can decide on a policy and have it printed and available at
the meetings, citizens will have clear guidelines for when it
is appropriate to give input.
