PURPOSE: To consider appointments to the Board of Equalization and Review.
BACKGROUND: Pursuant to N.C.G.S. 105-322, a Special Board of Equalization and Review
was created by a Resolution adopted by the Orange County Board of Commissioners on~
January 24, 2005. The Clerk's office has advertised and recruitment has also, been done by the
Tax Assessor's ofhce, with several applications received.
The Orange County Special Board of Equalization and Review shall consist of three regular
members plus alternate members, each to serve for a term in accordance with G.S. 105-322.
One regular member shall serve as chair of the Board of Equalization and Review.
Pick 3 regular members, with one serving as chair. All others can be appointed as alternate
members.
