PURPOSE: To correct and approve the minutes as submitted for consideration
by the Clerk to the Board.

BACKGROUND: In accordance with 153a-42 of the General Statutes, the
governing Board has the legal duty to approve all minutes that are entered
into the official journal of the Board's proceedings.
RECOMMENDATION(S) : Remove from the Consent Agenda those minutes requiring
further discussion and place under item XII. Approve all minutes not
removed from the Consent Agenda.

Renewal

PURPOSE: To establish a public hearing date to receive comments on
Cable TV issues.
BACKGROUND: On August 8, 1994, the Board approved September 6, 1994
as the public hearing date for cable franchise renewal
and cable TV rate approval. At the August 10, 1994
Cable TV Citizen Advisory Committee Meeting, members
suggested that the meeting date be changed to October 5,
1994 . The committee believes attendance would be
greater in the Hillsborough regular meeting location
rather than the Northern Human Services.
The cable TV rate approval public hearing will be
conducted on September 6. FCC guidelines require Board
approval of rates before September 13, 1994.
RECOMMENDATION(S) : The Manager recommends that the Board authorize a
public hearing on cable TV franchise renewal for
October 5, 1994.
