The Board of County Commissionsre mat at the new courthouse at 3 o'clock
P. L?., July l(t, 1954> vri th sll membsrs present. Also present at this meeting
were Archie R. Davis, Architect in Charge of construction and a rapresentetiva
from the general heating, electrical and plumbing contrectors.
The purpose of the me sting wen to lnspect the new courthouse prior to the
formal acceptence by the county.
After a through S~iepection of the premises the Commissioners went to the
Commissioners' room in the old courthouse and discussed items they considered
faultg. These items were errs aged in a cheek list by Architect Davie and
copies are to be sent to the contractors and to the Board of Commissioners.
At the conclusion of this di scusaion, Commissioner Efland introduced the
following reaolutlon, which was seconded by Commissioner Hobbs: That the new
courthouse ba accepted, subject to the satisfactory completion of all the items
on the check list which is now in the h¢nds of the Architect and all terms of
contract fulfilled, ¢nd further, that a reeaonehle amount of fvnda, to be deter
mined by the architect, will bo withheld from each contractor, pending final
completion of sold bulldiag.
This resolution wes passed by the following vote:
Ayes: Commiaslonera Forraet, Hobbs end Eflend.
Nose: None.
