Dear Commissioners,
At the Board's September 6, 2016 regular meeting,petitions were brought forth which were reviewed
by the Chair/Vice Chair/Manager Agenda team. The petitions and responses are listed below:
1) Review and consider a request by request by Commissioner Rich that staff investigate possible
solutions that will allow Board members to remotely access meetings.
Response: Information Technologies staff is pursuing options.
2) Review and consider a request by Commissioner Jacobs staff provide information to the Board
on the County's and town's efforts relative to spraying for mosquitoes.
Response: Staff is investigating potential protocols.
3) Review and consider a request by Commissioners Jacobs and Price that the Board consider
honoring Pat Sanford at an upcoming BOCC meeting.
Response:Manager to consult with Animal Services Director to move this forward.
4) Review and consider a request by Commissioners Jacobs that staff provide a report to the Board
on the feasibility and impacts of raising the minimum wage the County pays its employees to
$15.
Response: Staff to develop background information for the Board on feasibility and impacts.
5) Review and consider a request by Commissioner Dorosin that the Board discuss again the annual
amount of funding provided by the ABC Board to the General Fund.
Response: Chair to follow-up with ABC Board.
6) Review and consider a request by Commissioner Dorosin that the topic of written consent to
search be added to the Board's October 8, 2016 work session.
Response:Manager to consult with County Attorney and Sheriff's legal staff.
