NORTH CAROLINA
ORANGE COUNTY SECOND CONTRACT AMENDMENT
THIS CONTRACT AMENDMENT ("Amendment") is made and
entered into this 26th day of July 2016 by and between ORANGE
COUNTY (hereinafter referred to as "County") and Pearson s Appraisal
Service Inc., (hereinafter referred to as"Provider").
WITNESSETH:
THAT WHEREAS, the County and Provider entered into a contract dated
January 14, 2016 (internally designated as 2016-133), for the provision of
services related to the 2017 countywide revaluation to the County(hereinafter
the "Original Agreement") along with an amendment dated July 7, 2016
(internally designated as 2016-365) extending the term and adding new terms
(hereinafter the "First Contract Amendment"); and
WHEREAS, the Original Agreement had a duration of services from January
14, 2016 to June 30, 2016, with the First Contract Amendment extending the
term to August 15, 2016; and,
WHEREAS, the County and Provider desire to further extend the duration and
increase the maximum amount payable while keeping in effect all terms and
conditions of the Original Agreement and First Contract Amendment not
inconsistent with the terms and conditions set forth below.
NOW THEREFORE, for and in consideration for the mutual covenants and
agreements made in the Original Agreement and herein, the parties agree to
amend the Original Agreement as follows:
1. The Term of the Original Agreement in Section 4(a) is hereby extended
through June 30, 2017.
2. The maximum amount payable for Basic Services designated in Section
Five (Compensation) is hereby increased to an amount not to exceed
eighty nine thousand dollars ($89,000.00).
IN TESTIMONY WHEREOF, this Amendment has been executed by the
parties hereto, as of the date first above written.
