PURPOSE: To consider making initial appointments to the Animal Tethering Committee.
BACKGROUND: At its October 3, 2006 meeting the Board of County Commissioners created
an Animal Tethering Committee for the purpose of assessing whether and if so how the
County's animal ordinances should be amended in regard to the tethering of dogs.

I have worked with the Carrboro Police Dept. for the past 9 years. I have served as a
patrol officer, a community services officer, a school resource officer, and an .
investigator. I started a domestic violence program for our Department and have been
actively involved in the Hispanic community for the past couple of years. I have been
