Dear Commissioners,
At the Board's May 17, 2016 regular meeting, petitions were brought forth which were
reviewed by the Chair/Vice Chair/Manager Agenda team. The petitions and responses are
listed below:
1) Review and consider a request by Commissioner Jacobs that staff follow-up on concern
raised regarding efforts made in County buildings to control rodents.
Response: Asset Management staff to review and revise control efforts as necessary.
2) Review and consider a request by Commissioner Price that the Board consider naming
the Cedar Grove Community Center in honor of Mary Vincent.
Response: To be scheduled for consideration after Board discussion on Facility
Naming Policy.
3) Review and consider a request by Commissioner Rich that the County consider any
options that might be available to the County to inform potential homebuyers about lack
of internet service for respective properties prior to purchase, and share those options
with the Board.
Response: County Attorney to investigate and respond.
4) Review and consider a request by Commissioner Rich that the Board receive a report
from Economic Development and the Visitors Bureau on potential economic benefits
from the Mountains to Sea Trail such as agri-tourism.
Response: Staff to pursue and provide report to Board.
