PURPOSE: To review proposed amendments to the Orange County Zoning Ordinance related
to the potential development and implementation of a Conditional Use District (CUD) Permitting
and Rezoning Process within Orange County
BACKGROUND: Staff and the Attorney's office have been finalizing amendments to the
Zoning Ordinance to establish Conditional Use District Permitting and Rezoning regulations.
Staff is continuing to finalize the proposal at this time.
FINANCIAL IMPACT: No County financial impact is anticipated at this time with human
resources being used from existing departmental staff to complete the project.
RECOMMENDATION(S): The Manager recommends that the Board receive this update and
consider this item for a future public hearing.
