PURPOSE: To report progress of County construction projects and to introduce the new
website that provides on-going project information.
BACKGROUND: Jeff Thompson, the construction manager with whom the County contracts
will present an update regarding County construction projects that are currently underway,
including:
• Justice Facilities Project
• County Campus buildings
• Animal Services Facility
• Central Orange Senior Center
• E-911 Center
• West 10 Soccer Center
• Northern Park
• Fairview Community Park
Mr. Thompson will provide information about the newly constructed website by which ongoing
project status may be determined. The website may be found at
http://www. co. orange. nc. us/construction/.
FINANCIAL IMPACT: None.
RECOMMENDATION (S): The Manager recommends that the Board receive the information
and provide comment as may be appropriate.
