Tho Board of Commissioners for the County of Orange, State of North
Carolina, met at the Courthouse Sn Hillsboro, in spacial meeting at q: 90
o'clock A, fii., March 15, 195!1.

Eflend and A. T, td. Aobbs.
Members abeent: None.
IIpon motion of Commie si oaer Eflend ¢nd seconded by Commissioner Bobbs,
the following resolution was ssnanimovely adopted:
S7IiEREAS, The County of Orange has funds on deposit in
The Bank of Chapel Hill and The University National Bank of
Chapel Hill and it is neces sarp from time to time that with-
drawals be made from said accounts:
NO{Y, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, That 5. fit. Gott Ss, County
Accountant, be and he ie hereby authorized to sign checks or
drafts drawn on the ¢ccount of Orange County for the withdrawals
of funds in the above banks without recuiring the signature of
any other person or offici¢1 of Orange County, end the said
BaNc of Chapel Rill and The Gaiversitp 1letionel Sank are hereby
authorized to honor end pap ell the cka or drafts dravrn on the
accounts in said banks is the name of Orange Covntp when signed
by 5. M. Gatti s, County Accountant,

Now, Therefore, upon motion made by Commissioner Hobbs, ae conded by
Commissioner Eflend, end unanimously adopted, the proposed chenRe and re-
location as shown on the said map is hereby approved and ratifiod.

Monday, March 15, 1954.
The County Board of Commiss ionera met ¢s a Board of Equalization and
Neview ih the argi culture bulldi ng at Rlllsboro Nigh School after
having been sworn in as prescribed by law by E, TR. Lynch, Clerk of
Superior Court. -.
All mambara of the Board were present as well as Mr. Adolph Pell,
represent¢tlva of the S. M. Cleminshaw Company.
No complaints were heard, however, the members of the board
explained to the audience the reason the County undertook the valuation
program and the praced:se to bo followed by the persons who wished to
enter appeals to the board.
There being no further business the mee tang was adJourned at 4:J0
p,m, to meet Wed., March 17, 1954•
