PURPOSE: To make changes to the regular meeting calendar, set a special
public hearing and an Assembly of Governments Meeting.
BACKGROUND: The following changes to the regular calendar are being
recommended for approval:
1. Cancel the August 11 meeting
2. Change October 3 to October 5
3. Change November 7 to November 1
4. Change November 22 to November 15
A Special Public Hearing will be held on August 10, 1994 at 7:30 p.m. in
Superior Courtroom in Hillsborough for the purpose of receiving citizen
comments on +a proposed bond issue to purchase development rights for
farmland preservation.
An Assembly of Governments meeting will be held on September 29 at 7:30
p.m. at the Homestead Community Center on Homestead Road in Chapel Hill.
RECOMMENDATION(S) : Approve the changes as listed above and as included in
the "Notice of Meeting Changes" as provided pursuant to N.C.G.S. 153-40.

AND
NOTICE OF SPECIAL MEETINGS
WHEREAS, General Statute 153A-40(a) requires the Board of
County Commissioner to fix the time and place of its regular
meetings; and
WHEREAS, this Board desires to cancel a meeting schedule for
August 11, 1994, and
WHEREAS, this Board desires to change the meeting date for
their October 3, 1994 meeting to October 5, 1994, and
WHEREAS, this Board desires to change the meeting date for
their November 7, 1994 meeting to November 1, 1994, and
WHEREAS, this Board desires to change the meeting date for
their November 22, 1994 meeting to November 15, 1994, and
WHEREAS, this Board desires to hold a Special Public Hearing
on August 10, 1994 at 7:30 p.m. in Superior Courtroom,
Hillsborough, North Carolina for the purpose of receiving citizen
comments on a proposed bond issue to purchase development rights
for farmland preservation, and
WHEREAS, this Board desires to set September 29, 1994 at 7:30
p.m. at the Homestead Community Center in Chapel Hill for an
