PURPOSE: To consider approving a contract amendment for Corley Redfoot Zack (CRZ) to
complete design of West Ten Soccer Center-Phase II.
BACKGROUND: The Board previously approved a contract with CRZ to design Phase I of the
West Ten Soccer Center. Phase I is currently under construction.
The Board has approved the development of this phase of the project. This action authorizes
an additional $105,200 to be paid to CRZ for the completion of the design work of Phase II.
Primary elements of Phase II of this project include a building, playground, additional parking,
field lighting, well irrigation system, first aid stand and landscaping. The proposal also includes
revisions to the original master plan to accommodate future tennis courts and playground.
Construction of Phase II is anticipated to begin in late-Fall 2007.
FINANCIAL IMPACT: No additional funding is required as this action can be accomplished
within the approved budget.
RECOMMENDATION(S): The Manager recommends that the Board approve a contract
amendment with Corley Redfoot Zack in the amount of $105,200 to complete the design of
Phase II of the West Ten Soccer Center; and authorize the Purchasing Director to execute
paperwork to effect the amendment.
