The minutes of the Psgust meetings were recd and aanroved.
R. Hume Cleytor, County Dog Y/arden, reported that to date he had im-
pounded 1~9!< dogs, vaccinated 2,156 and shot 63.
Upon motion of Commissioner 3flend, seconded by Chairmen +'orrest, the
sum of 6'1,500 was ordered to be peid to the Oran ;e Print Shop from the 1927
Surplus Fund es e Dart ial payment on the printing of the book entitled "Oreng~
County 1752-1952: The printing of this book was authorized by the °i-Centen-
niel Observance Committee. The advercement of thin amount is in compli¢nce
with the previous commitment made by resolution of the Aoard 't the meetine
held on September 11, 1952 end recorded in Idinute Locket ?d o. 5, et page 450.
Upon motion of Commi ssi ones Efland, seconded by Cheirman Forrest, the

"The contractor shall omploy and compensate during
the course of the appraisal a person to he d:^s igneted
by the County, seid person to be trei ned by the con-
tractor so that he may be pr epered to do epnrai sal work
in the future.° (See Contrect -General Conditions,
Paragraph 2, Section 5•)
1Sr. Carl Dev is, Tax Collector of Orange County, has been do signated
by the County es the ner son to be trained by the contractor in
eccorden ce with the above provision of the Contract. It is agreed
that dug ing the period of such training Elr, D¢v;.s shell continue
to receive from Orange County his regular compensation as Tax
Collector, but r+i 11 receive no compensation from the contractor.
The contractor, in lieu of peying compensation to the tr~rtee, as
