PURPOSE: To present information regarding the status of the county campus construction
projects.
BACKGROUND: The Board approved an agreement in June 2007 that authorized a lease for
22,000 square feet of space on two floors of the Gateway Building, the construction of a 46,716
square foot office building for use in County operations, as well as.a 23,454 square foot Library
in Downtown Hillsborough. Information regarding the status of these projects will be presented
for the Board's information.
FINANCIAL IMPACT: The Board has previously approved $17,939,079 to construct and
occupy the office building and Library. The Gateway lease will be funded from the General
Fund commencing in January 2008.
RECOMMENDATION(S): The Manager recommends that the Board receive the information
and provide feedback as may be appropriate.
