The Finance Director advises the Board his staff is in the process of changing the County's principal bank account to NCNB. 17. ANDERSON LITTLE, Attorney at Law, Orange County, North Carolina, hereinafter referred to as i ATTORNEY, and ORANGE COUNTY, hereinafter referred to as the COUNTY: WITNESSETH: WHEREAS, the Orange County Department of Social Services (hereinafter referred to as the DEPARTMENT) has need of special, legal services, not otherwise provided by County government agen- cies, in connection with its services to needy and dependent per- sons in Orange County, the administration of its functions under the provisions of Article 6, Chapter 110 of the General Statutes of North Carolina and other laws of the State and representation of the DEPARTMENT, its caseworkers and employees before the varionf. courts and agencies of the State of North Carolina; and WHEREAS, it is the desire of COUNTY and ATTORNEY to enter into a contract, one with the other, for the purposes and consider--: ations as set forth herein for the period October 1, 1979 through June 30, 1980; NOW, THEREFORE, in consideration of the premises and mutual terms and agreements hereinafter set forth, the COUNTY and AT'T'ORNEY do contract, each with the other, as follows: 1. That ATTORNEY shall perform such services and render such advice to the DEPARTMENT on such occasions as shall be required by the Director of the DEPARTMENT aild with the approval of said Dir- ector, employees and caseworkers as shall require the services of ATTORNEY. 2. The party of the second part agrees to comply with County bud- gaging procedures and other procedures provided for by State Law and agrees to submit budget estimates to the Board of Commissionerscn the standard forms used by county departments; the party of the sec- ond part also agrees to use standard line items for accounting de- vised or consented to by the County Accountant from time to time. 6.
