Dr. William Mayes, Chairman of the Board of Health„ desires to address the Board concerning federal (Department. of H.E.W.) requirement for health departments to collect fees for family planning services effective July 1, 1979. This requirement has budgetary implications not addressed in the Manager's proposed budget. 2. The Finance Officer submits certain budget ordinance amendments requested by the Health Department for Board consideration. 3. The New Hope Rescue Squad has applied to FHA for financial assistance to purchase 0 1979 Ford Super Van Amublance with related accessories. FHA requires any improvements to fire and rescue facilities be consistent with county development plans. 4. Dr, Martha S. Wingfield, a resident of 18 requested the Board grant a permit for a fireworks LdisplayeovervEastwood Lake. 5. Announcement: There were no rooms available for a budgetary work session in Carrboro Town Hall on �June 20th. A work session on the country's 1979-80 budget was reschedu ed to June 14th, at 7:30 p.m. , in Room 110, Carrboro Town Hall . 6. Budget delibrations on county's 1979-80 budget. AGENDA ITEM # 2 ORANGE COUNTY PROPOSED 1978-79 BUDGET ORDINANCE AMENDMENT The 1978-79 Budget Ordinance of Orange County as adopted on June 26,1978, and sub- sequently amended, is hereby amended as follows: Change the Appropriation for the following line items in the funds indicated: INCREASE" FUND - ITEM (DECREASE) TO TOTAL General : Health - Family Planning - Operations 2,056 23,561 Health - Environmental - Oper./Cont. The new equipment will include a 1979 Ford Super Van Ambulance with related accessories. Farmers Home Administration requires that any improvements to fire and rescue facilities be consistent with the county development plans. Please review our plans for new equipment and advise if it is consistent with county plans. May we have a determination by June 18, 1979 if at all possible. This dilsplay would be over water (lake) Mr. Dave Brwn fireworks display under the supervision of sponsored bI Dr. Martha S. Wingfield. The opurposenofethisldisplay would be for group entertainment.
