BACKGROUND: The Clerk's office has received a recommendation from the Carrboro Board of Adjustment for John Gant. If appointed Mr. Gant will be serving a full term ending 2/28/2010. A RESOLUTION REQUESTING AN APPOINTMENT TO A TRANSITION AREA SEAT ON TI-~ CARRBORO BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT Resolution No. 36/2007-2008 WI~REAS, as a result of a vacancy, it is necessary to appoint a person to a seat reserved on the Ca.+°rhoYA Board .~fA_djust•!?:ent for. ~ersous residir!g within th.e, town's Trans'~tian Area: and WI~REAS, by state statute and town ordinance, the Orange County Board of Commissioners initially has the authority and responsibility to appoint Transition Area members to the town's Board of Adjustment. NOW, THEREFORE, T'I~ BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF TIC TOWN OF CARIt]BORO RESOLVES: Section 1.
