3. The Tax Collector submits a report of unpaid property taxes that
are a lien on real property for the year 1979.
4. The Tax Collector recommends the Board set the date of the annual
tax lien sale (1979 taxes) as June 2, 1980.
5. The Manager recommends the Board designate the County's Director
of evenue as its IV-D agent.
6. Priigen Consultants, engineers, recommend the Board grant a
90-day extension of time for completion of the community development
water and sewer project to the contractor, Billings and Garrett.
7. The Department of Transportation recommends Wild Turkey Trail be
added to the state road system.
8. Appointments:
A. Four vacancies exist on the Cable TV Citizens Advisory Committee.
B. One vacancy exists on the Orange County Planning Board.
C. Four vacancies exist on Triangle J's Economic Development
Policy Advisory Committee.
D. Ms. Sondra Dennison has resigned from the Energy Conservation Commiss
E. One vacancy exists on the Commission for Women
F. The Chapel Hill-Carrboro School System has nominated Ms. Edith
Elliott to serve on the JOCCA Board.

4 The Orange County Department of Revenue reports unpaid
taxes as of January 31, 1980. The following unpaid taxes
are liens on real property for the year 1979.

The Revenue Office recommends the Tax Lien Sale be held
on the first Monday in June. If this is agreeable, the
following date can be set.

RE ORC-7802
Due to the various changes in weather and the progress of the
construction work on the N. Fairview Water and Sewer Project,
the contractor (Billings and Garrett) has requested that an
extension of 90 days be granted for the completion of the
project. This is primarily because the contractor will be un-
able to do any seeding until the weather- clears and no concrete
-may be poured if the temperature is below or near freezing.
It is the opinion of Pridgen Consultants, Inc. , that Billings
and Garrett have proceeded with earnest and diligence, and
have displayed a desire to meet the original contract comple-
tion date, and therefore, we recommend that the extension of
90 days be granted for the completion of this project.
If you have any questions, or require any additional informa-
tion, please call at your convenience.
