PURPOSE:. To consider one change in the County Commissioners' regular meeting calendar
for year 2008.
BAC6CGROUND: Pursuant to North Carolina General Statute 153A-40, the Board of County
Commissioners must fix the time and place of its meetings or provide a notice of any change in
the Regular Meeting Schedule.
- The Board will consider amending its regular meeting calendar for 2008
by adding a dinner meeting on Tuesday, January 15, 2007 at 5:30 p.m.
at the Link Government Services Center in Hillsborough, prior to the
7:30pm regular meeting at F. Gordon Battle Courtroom in Hillsborough,
North Carolina (this dinner meeting will.be with the Local Revenue
Options Education Advisory Committee to hear presentations from
consultants on a land transfer tax and sales tax).
FINANCIAL IMPACT: NONE
RECOMMENDATION (S): The Manager recommends that the Board amend its
regular meeting calendar for 2008 by adding a dinner meeting on Tuesday, January
15, 2007 at 5:30 p.m. at the Link Government Services Center in Hillsborough, prior
to the 7:30pm regular meeting at F. Gordon Battle Courtroom in Hillsborough, North
Carolina (this dinner meeting will be with the Local Revenue Options Education
Advisory Committee to hear presentations from consultants on a land transfer tax
and sales tax).
