M., in the Commis sione rs~ Room et the Courthossse. Dlembers present: Chairmen R. 0. Forrest end Commissioners Sim L. Eflend and R. J. 31. Hobbs. I i I ' Diembers absent: None. The minutes of the February meetings were reed end approved as amended, upon motion of Commissioner Eflend, seconded by Commissioner Hobbs, that the membership of iAt. Zlon Church be ell owed to clean up the old slave graveyard, which adjoins their cemetery. Upon motion oS Commiasi oner Hobbs, seconded by Commissioner Efland, the board enproved e bill being introduced in the Legislature, relating to dis- orderly conduct is Orenga County. It was brought to the ettent ion of the board that Orange County owns property obtained undor ¢ tax foreclosure suit against Ransom 17hitted, mho still occupies the premises. Ransom appeerod before the Hoard end stated that he would like to buy the property. Aow therefore, upon motion of Commissioner Hobbs, seconded by Commissioner Eflend, it was ordered that the nroporty be deeded back to Rens om flhitted, provided he pay the sum of 521,2.17 by April 6, 1953• He was notified that unless the 5212.17 was pzid b„ tts zbove date, proceedings would be started to eject him from the premises. .*.fr. H. Hume Cleytor'eppeared end made apnlicatlon for the position of County Dog !':'arden. Upoa motion of Commissioner Hobbs, seconded by Ch¢irmzn Forrest, R. Hume C1¢ytor was appointed Orehge County Dog Marden at e salary of 5250.00 per month, subject to his ec centence. 4 Pickup Truck end the upkeep of same to be furnished by the County. Upon motion of Commi esioner Htlend, seconded by Commissioner Hobbs, Iro A.. 7fard was authorized to use s rubber stemo signature on P/el£ere Checks. Upon motion of Commissioner Efland, seconded by Commissioner Hobbs, Dlr. Henry S. i'lallcer of Eno Tovrashln, ores appointed as a member of the Orange Counts 3oard of Public '17elfere for the term beginning April 1, 1953 end ending April ] 1956. Uoon motion duly made and seconded, the following change in County Roed er¢s enarove d: -~inEREAS, the State Highway end Public Ylorka Commie slop has filed with the Hoard of Commissioners of the County of Orange a map designated es 5-I1 -1i7, showing a proposed relocation of e section of county road; and 47HEREAS, it appears that thls relocation is for the boat int erect of the rood system of the said county; ISOi'!, THEREFORE, the proposed change and relocation as shown on the said m¢p is hereby enproved end r~tif led.
