PURPOSE: To consider making reappointments to the Board of Social Services.
BACKGROUND: The Clerk's office has received recommendations from the Animal Services
Advisory Board for the following people: Daniel Textoris, Susan Elmore, Jean Connerat-Austin
and Suzanne Roy. If reappointed, Mr. Textoris, Ms. Elmore and Ms. Connerat-Austin will be
serving their second full-term ending 6/30/2011. Ms. Roy will be serving her first full term
ending 6/30/2011.
FINANCIAL IMPACT: None.
RECOMMENDATION(S): Consider making reappointments to the Animal Services Advisary

Other Comments:
I see animal welfare-County as two ends of a spectrum but legally and morally
connected. The Task Force, overall, is to meld these two entities. I would bring to the
table my background in APS Board and volunteer work, along with the training I
participated in at the Latane Sanctuary. Except for possible advanced agility training with
my Great Dane, I will not be associated with APS after Dec., 2003, except as a regular
dues paying member. All three Great Danes we have owned have come from shelters or
Mid Atlantic Great Dane Rescue League. So, I would bring to the table, also, some
