PURPOSE: To consider making a reappointment to the Chapel Hill Planning Board.
BACKGROUND: The Clerk's office has received a recommendation from the Chapel Hill
Planning Board of James Stroud. Mr. Stroud is currently our JPA representative. If reappointed
Mr. Stroud will be serving a full term ending 6/30/2011.
FINANCIAL IMPACT: None.
RECOMMENDATION(S): Consider making a reappointment to the Chapel Hill Planning Board.

By unanimous proclamation last evening the Chapel Hill Planning Board asked that I contact
you to request that you reappoint James Stroud to the Joint Planning Transition Area (JPA) seat on the
Chapel Hill Planning Board. James has been a energetic and diligent member of our board for the last
three years and has contributed significantly to the service we provide to Chapel Hill and Orange
County. During his first term he has served as our Liaison to the Rogers Road Small Area Plan
Committee.
As James' term ends in June of 2008, we aslc that you reappoint hirn in a timely fashion in
