PURPOSE: To determine if the Board of Commissioners wishes to
submit resolutions for consideration at the Annual
Conference of the N.C. Association of County
Commissioners August 25-28 in Asheville.
BACKGROUND: Resolutions to be considered at the Annual Conference
are to be submitted to the Association office no later
than Friday, July 15, 1994. This date will enable the
Association to publish proposed resolutions in
CountyLines prior to the beginning of our Conference.
The rules governing the resolutions process are set
forth in Article VII, Section 1, of the Association
Constitution, which reads as follows:
SECTION 1: Submission of Resolutions to
Resolutions Committee at the Annual Meeting of
the Association in one of the following ways:
1. By official action of a member board of county
commissioners;
2. By official action of a standing or special
committee of the Association;
3 . By official action of an affiliate organization
of the Association;
4 . By motion of a member of the Resolutions
Committee

The Board of Directors will meet as the Resolutions
Committee during the Annual Conference on the
following dates:
Thursday, August 25, 9: 30 a.m. , Grove Park Inn
Friday, August 26, 4:45 p.m. , Grove Park Inn (meets
only if needed)
RECOMMENDATION: As the Board decides.
