PURPOSE: To consider making a reappointment to the Historic Preservation Commission.
BACKGROUND: The clerk's office has received a recommendation from the Historic
Preservation Commission for Leonard Vogel. If reappointed Mr. Vogel will be serving his
second full term expiring 3/31/2011.
FINANCIAL IMPACT: None.
RECOMMENDATION(S): Consider making a reappointment to the Historic Preservation Commission.

SUBJECT: Historic Preservation Commission Reappointment
Leonard Vogel, a member of the Orange County Historic Preservation Commission is
approaching the end of this first term. An Orange County resident, Mr. Vogel is a design
professional with experience in the field of historic preservation and with the work of
historic commissions. He has maintained a good attendance record (see enclosure), and
has agreed to serve a second term.
Please convey this to the Board of Commissioners for their consideration in March, to
prevent any gaps in our membership. The HPC will continue its recruitment efforts to
bring in new candidates who meet the Certified Local Government criteria.
