At the Board's February 3, 2015 regular meeting, petitions were brought forth which were reviewed by
the ChairNice Chair/Manager Agenda team. The petitions and responses are listed below:
1) Review and consider a request by that the County pursue and support efforts to have alcopops properly
classified as distilled spirits.
Response: Directed to Legislative Issues Work Group for consideration in preparation for March 3
BOCC 2015 Legislative Issues public hearing.
2) Review and consider a request by Commissioner Rich that the County renew efforts to work with
providers to expand internet service throughout the County.
Response: Manager has been working with IT Director and additional meetings planned with
providers and N.C. Department of Commerce.
