-- Sim Efland wants the BOCC to see about
making sure that conduits are laid
along the South side of I-40.
-- Steve Halkiotis wants to know what is
going to be done with the old asphalt.
-- Ralph Edwards asked that the last
quarter mile of High Rock Road be
paved.

A. Economic Development Districts Design Manual -
DOT will be asked to do a traffic study to see
if a traffic light can be installed in the
Oakdale Drive/Cornwallis Hills area. John Link
recommended that the Chair write a letter to the
Division Engineer and ask for a written response
on how the division was made about the turn lane
and what the plan is. will come back on Feb. 15
as a continuation of the Public Hearing. At the
next meeting staff needs to comment on the issue
of lot size and the percentage of lots with
• buildings and parking lots. See Roy RothIs
letter. Don wanted to talk about setbacks.

Development Plan (TDP) for FY93-94 to Include
the New Smart Start Program
F. Resolution to Apply and Enter into Agreement

A. City of Mebane--Request for ETJ Extension - Don
Willhoit suggested that Mebane be invited to
participate in the process of creating a vision
for Orange County's future. Alice Gordon
suggested we do a joint planning process and
gave it the name of "The Mutual Planning Zone.11
X. REPORTS (9:20-9:40) - Approved
A. Land Exchange--Habitat for Humanity - Staff
needs to prepare appropriate paper work and
bring back to the March 1 BOCC Meeting.
