PURPOSE: To consider making a new appointment to the Adult Care Home Community
Advisory Committee.
BACKGROUND: The Clerk's office has received a recommendation from the Adult Care Home
Community Advisory Committee for the appointment of Anita Thompson. If appointed, Ms.
Thompson will be serving aone-year training term, which will end on 2/28/2009.
FINANCIAL IMPACT: None.
RECOMMENDATION(S): Consider making one new appointment to the Adult Care Community
Advisory Committee.

The nominating committee for the Orange County Adult Care Home Community Advisory
Committee has nominated~Anita Thompson for an open position on the committee. This
nomination was agreed to by the greater committee. Mrs. Thompson has served the community
through educational programs and civil projects addressing the well-being needs of seniors,
children, civil rights and the working poor. The committee members are pleased she has chosen
this committee as a means of continuing her much valued community service and believe she will
greatly add to the committee in advocating for residents' rights in the adult care homes of Orange
County.
