The minutes of the idey me stings were read and approved.
idr. Lloyd Gardner, of Chapel 8111, appeared sad stated that ha was plan-
ning to open a small login bus ins ae in the Towa of Chapel Hill, and asked the
Board to reduce the Schedule B Lieen ae fee from the maximum x+100.00, allowed
by the State.
Commissioner Efl and made a motion that tAr. Gardner be issued s lioense
upon the payment of $50.00, 1a order to help him get started. Thera wen not
a second to this motion.
Commie al oner Forrest made a motion that action on the matter be deferred
until action was taken by the Chapel H111 Has rd of Aldermen. Commie el oner
Cobb seconded the motion and celled for a vote, which was ae follows:
Ayes: Commisai one rs Cobb and Forrest.
Noes: Commiaei oner EPland.
Lir. 0. Y7. Davis, 9nperinteadent of the Chapel H111 Schools, end Mr. Grey
Culbreth, a Liember of the Chaool Hill School Board, appeared and din cussed
their Capital Outlay regtest Tor the year 1952-53.
Mr. Wordie Fitzgerald, County Fire Clardend submitted his 1952-53 budget,
cell sig for an appropriation by the County of x2065.00.
9pon motion duly made end seconded,the above apnroprletlon was approved.
Mra. Hamrick, Home Demonstration Agent, and tdise Perri sh, As ai stant Home
Demonetrati on Agent, appeared and made a very fine report on the work being
done through their organization.
The Board of Education appeared and dla cussed their 1952-53 budget
requests.
