PURPOSE: To consider reappointing Kermit Lloyd as Orange County Tax
Assessor for a two year term, effective July 1, 1995.
BACKGROUND: Chapter 105-294 of the North Carolina General Statutes
requires the Board of County Commissioners to appoint a tax assessor
for a period of not less than two years, nor more than four years.
Kermit Lloyd's current two year appointment expires on June 30, 1995.
Orange County has traditionally made appointments to the office of tax
assessor for two year terms.
RECOMMENDATION: The Manager recommends that the Board reappoint
Kermit Lloyd as Orange County Tax Assessor for a period of two
years, effective July 1, 1995.
