At the Board's December 1, 2014 regular meeting, petitions were brought forth which were reviewed by the
Chair/Vice Chair /Manager Agenda team. The petitions and responses are listed below:
1) Review and consider a request by Commissioner Rich that the Chair make contact with the Mayors about town -
appointed positions on County advisory boards that are vacant
Response: Clerk to provide advisory board information to Chair; Chair to contact Mayors.
2) Review and consider a request by Commissioner Rich that staff provide information to the Board
regarding where County funds are invested /managed.
Response: Finance & Administrative Services Director to provide information to the Board.
3) Review and consider a request by Commissioner Price that the Adult Care Home Advisory Committee be
included on an upcoming agenda to address the Board.
Response: Chair, Vice Chair & Manager to discuss options.
4) Review and consider a request by Commissioner Price that the Board receive a report from staff on
delays in opening the Rogers Road Community Center.
Response: Asset Management Services Director briefly updated the Board, noting Chapel Hill
Inspections staff had a few . unresolved concerns; Manager to confer with Chapel Hill Town
Manager.
5) Review and consider a request by Commissioner Pelissier that the Chair contact the Chair of the Chatham
County Board of Commissioners about interest in renewing the Chatham /Orange Work Group.
Response: Clerk to provide historical information to the Chair; Manager to consult with Chatham
County Manager to gauge interest.
6) Review and consider a request by Commissioner Dorosin that the Chair and Vice Chair meet with new
Sheriff to discuss potential gun buy -back program.
Response: Clerk to schedule January 2015 meeting with the Sheriff, Chair, Vice Chair and
Manager.
This letter will be provided as an Information Item on the December 9, 2014 agenda for public information.
