Mr. John Hughes of the Orange County Amateur Radio Club
told the Board of County Commissioners about the backup system for
emergencies that they hope to install. They have raised $19, 500
and their budget is $28, 000. They asked the Board of County
Commissioners for $8,000 to finish the project. He later
distributed information about the project.

A. 1995-2000 CAPITAL IMPROVEMENTS PLAN - OUTSTANDING ISSUES
Followup is to incorporate Board of County Commissioners' comment:
into the CIP narrative and present an automation status report to the Board
of County Commissioners on June 5.
B. YOUTH AND FAMILY SERVICES COORDINATION FUNCTION
The Board of County Commissioners accepted the
concept, the Smart Start funding and a report will come back to the
Board on how the function will be developed.
C. PARKS AND RECREATION WORK GROUP
The Board of County Commissioners appointed Chair of
the Recreation and Parks Board and Commissioner Crowther to this
work group.
