BACKGROUND: In accordance with 143.318.12 of the General Statutes, a schedule of regular meetings shall be filed with the Clerk to the Board of County Commissioners. The schedule must show the date, time and place of each meeting. At the September 16, 2014 BOCC regular meeting, Commissioner Mark Dorosin petitioned the Board to be able to discuss the proposed meeting calendar in more detail at a work session, such as the volume of meetings as well as reasons for the open meeting weeks on the proposed 2015 calendar. FINANCIAL IMPACT: Not applicable RECOMMENDATION(S): The Manager recommends that the Board discuss the proposed meeting calendar and provide direction for staff. E TO: BOCC FROM: Donna S.
