RE: RECOMMENDED APPOINTEES TO THE COMMISSION FOR WOMEN
The Orange County Connnission for Women (CFW) held a nneetiilg on Thursday,
December 13, 2007, and one of the actions taken by the CFW was to make reconnnendations for,
appointment to the CFW. Thus, the CFW requested that applications of the following residents
be submitted to the Board of County Commissioners for their consideration: Barbara Prear,
Antonia Guadalupe Barbosa~'~tephanie Holmes,
The Commission for Women is coininitted to increasing the diversity of Commission
members and committed to preserving a geographical balance of representation whenever
possible. Ilz addition, all of the applicants have voiced an active interest in advocating for
women, improving the quality of life for women in Orange County and a willingness and ability
to attend the Conunission's meetings and participate in its projects.
