Dear Sirs:
Far the past two weeks I have been in Hoot physical condition and
under the care aad treatment of Dr. Roberta. Rhile s0' condition
has improved to some extents I am advised by the doctor that I
should take a comolete rest for a period of annr oximate~v ninety
days.
In view of the above facts I am hereby respectfully request ing that
I be granted a leave oS absence from the duties oS the office oT
Clerk of Superior Court until March lsts 19$2. I feel that ifr.
' S. id. Gattiss Assistant Clerks is sail qualified to carry on the
duties of the office in my absence 2nd that there will be ns change
in character of service rendered the public.
In order that there be no additional cost on the Ceuntps and fairness
done to everyones I Ehrther request that ud present salary be re-
' duced one-third during Iry absence and that the amount of the re-
L ; duction be paid the Assistant Clerk during this period.
I feel confident medical tz'aetment and comolete rest for the period
requested will Tully restore iTJ health.
