PURPOSE: To consider issues which the Board may request be introduced
by the Orange County legislative delegation during the 1995 Session of
the North Carolina General Assembly.
BACKGROUND: The Board of Commissioners may wish to discuss legislative
issues that it would like to be considered during this year's
legislative session of the General Assembly. The County Attorney has
prepared a letter which identifies a number of issues the Board may
want to pursue under State legislation.
RECOMMENDATION: The Manager recommends that the Board consider
the issues identified by the Attorney, and other issues
identified by Board members, and provide direction to the
Manager and Attorney on drafting any requested 1995 legislation
for introduction by Orange County legislators.
