Re Orange County Web site Redesign
Dear Mr Talbert,
The County's Web site Redesign Committee headed up by Carla Banks (Public Affairs)
and Jim Northrup (I T) is moving forward with plans to revamp the County's Web site
After reviewing multiple proposals, the Committee selected Revize Software Systems
as the vendor
After contract review between the County Attorney's Office and the vendor's attorneys,
the $34,000 00 contract has been approved and the first of three payments has been
issued
The next steps will involve a choosing a Web site redesign committee and then a
remote kick -off meeting with Revize -to discuss the framework and design layout.
Afterwards, the Web site Redesign Committee will present the kick -off meeting outcome
to the County's Web Masters, allowing an opportunity for feedback and input. The Web
masters have been involved in the redesign discussions and will continue to be
consulted throughout the redesign process in an effort to address both the technical and
content needs of each department.
The Web site Redesign Committee will come back to the BOCC at the Work Session on
September 11, 2014, to provide an update and show a draft of the home page design
A tentative launch date is scheduled for January 2015
