BACKGROUND: The Nursing Home Community Advisory Committee would like to recommend Anne Winfield and Carol Hierman for appointment to the Nursing Home Community Advisory Committee. If appointed, both will be serving one-year training terms, which will end 12/31/2007. FINANCIAL IMPACT: None. They are Carol Heirman and Anne Winfield, both long-time residents of Orange County. Ms. Heirman is a resident of northern Orange County and Ms. Winfield is a resident of Chapel Hill. They both have attended a meeting of the committee and understand the responsibilities. Both have many years of health care experience and a special interest in the well being of older adults in long- term care. We would be fortunate to have you appoint them. Several current committee members are having difficulty meeting attendance and facility visit requirements due to health reasons and demands of full-time employment.
