The Board of Commissioners of. Orange County met on Tuesday, November_
24, 1953, at 7:36 P. M. in an adjourned meeting in the Commissioners' Room
at the Courthouse in Hillsboro, North Carolina, the usual place of meeting.
Members present: Chairman R. 0. Forrest and Commissioners Sim L. Efland
j and R. J. M. Hobbs.
Members absent: None.
The County Board of Education and the Board of Trustees of the Chapel
Hill Schools met with the Board of Commissioners and discussed their needs
for school buildings for the next fire years.
Upon motion, duly made and seconded, the County Attorney was authorized
to proceed with the necessary arrangements to negotiate the sale of the
$80,000 bond anticipation notes for the completion of the new courthouse.
There being no further business, upon motion, adjourned.
