fi Dr. O. David Garvin, District Health Officer, presented Dr. Bill Hollister and j
Dr. Morgan to the Board to explain a Mental Health project which was being
sponsored by The University of North Carolina and State Health Department, and
i which they hoped to locate in one of the Piedmont counties. Discussion ensued
j{ concerning Orange County's attitude towards such a project.
Upon motion of Commissioner Ray, seconded by Commissioner Cleveland, and
unanimously adopted, it was agreed that if Orange County is selected as the target
county for the Mental Health Project that the county does indorse the Mental
Health project as presented by Dr. Hollister and will cooperate in the development
of such project plans.
Discussion ensued concerning the proposed 1966-1967 budget.
There being no further business to come before the Board said meeting was
adjourned to meet again on July 7, 1966 at 8:00 P.M. in the Commissioners room
at the Courthouse in Hillsborough, North Carolina.

July 7, 1966, at 8:00 p.m. in the Commissioners room at the courthouse in
Hillsborough, North Carolina .

The purpose of this meeting was to continue discussion of the proposed 1966-196
County budget.

The meeting lasted until 10:30 P.M. at which time the Board adjourned to meet f
again on Tuesday, July 12, 1966 at 7:30 P.M.
There being no further business to come before the Board said meeting was
adjourned.
