WHEREAS, the Task Force submitted a final report in December 2012 that helped resolve the
community center charge and requested an additional six months to discuss the provision of
sewer services to the neighborhood; and
WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners has demonstrated its commitment to remedial
measures in the Rogers Road community by taking the lead in allocating funding for the
community center; and
WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners is encouraged by and wants to support the Task
Force's commitment to providing sewer services to the neighborhood; and
WHEREAS, the Task Force has resolved that the Carrboro Board of Aldermen, the Chapel Hill
Town Council, and the Orange County Board of Commissioners should review and discuss two
alternate plans for providing sewer services to the neighborhood; and
WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners does not have time to fully discuss the merits of the
various plans before its annual recess, but believes that the continuing Task Force discussions
in the meantime will benefit from the guidance of this resolution;

pursuant to the final plans, timeline and cost sharing formulas to be determined, to provide
funding for the construction of sewer infrastructure to benefit the residents of the Historic Rogers
