Lfembers present Here: Collier Cobb, Jr., Chairmen and A. G. Levis - and Sim L. Efland, Commissioners. . The minutes of the December meetings ware read and approved. !J Chairman Cobb read the Grand Jurg report of the December Term of Sun9rior Court. Ira A. Ward reported that he had made en investigation of the State Aetire Bgstem for County Employees and also Social Securitg. The Social Securi tg appeared to be the better of the two systems. The Board of Education was called in with reference to the proposed build- ing of the Cedar Grove Negro school. They stated that thug had cut several class rooms from the original plans in order to come within the allotted money, but co:.il.d make 4 class rooms from the ell-purpose room by running partitions which would give a total of 12 class rooms. Represen tativo John W. IImstead of Chapel Hill, and Senator Ralph Scott of Burlington npneered and discussed matters pertaining to Orange County that mag be presented to the North Caroline General Assembly.
