Gustaveson, it was moved and adopted that the amendments to the
County Personnel Ordinance be approved.
The following items were deferred until the third Tuesday' s
Meeting in September:
The Orange County Medical Foundation to request the Board of
Commissioner make a donation to assist the foundation with construc-
tion of a medical clinic.
The Board of Commissioners should consider what involvement, if
any, it might have in the proposed Cane Creek Reservoir.
Commissioner Pinney would like to continue discussion of the
Animal Control Ordinance question.
The Board of Commissioners should consider establishing an organi-
zation to plan and coordinate efforts to support the forthcoming school
bond election.
The Chatham Orange Joint Emergency Medical Service Countil to
meet with the Commissioners to review the proposed equipment purchases
to be made with Johnson Foundation Grant Funds .
Mr. Lloyd Osterman with the Regional Library Board would like to
talk with the Commissioners regarding a proposal.
Review of the proposed Road Standards .
There being no further business to come before the Board, the
meeting was adjourned.

ORANGE COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS
September 8 , 1976
The Orange County Board of Commissioners met in special session
on Wednesday, September 8, 1976 , at 7: 30 p.m. , in the Superior Court-
room of the Courthouse in Hillsborough. The purpose of this meeting
was a public hearing for continued discussion concerning proposed
Zoning Amendments to the Zoning Ordinance for the Townships of Eno
and Chapel Hill.
Commissioners present were Chairman Flora Garrett, Commissioners
Norman Gustaveson, Jan Pinney and Norman Walker.
Commissioner absent was Richard Whitted.
Planning Board members present were Chairman Charlie Johnston,
Dr. Robert Bonar, John Scarlette , Jean Anderson and Marilyn Riddle.
Others present were S. M. Gattis, County Manager; Neal Evans ,
Finance Director; Jeff Gledhill, County Attorney; Ervin Dobson,
Planning Director; Chris Edwards, Hal Minis , Edafo Oddo, and Kathy
Hoffer, members of the Orange County Planning Staff.
Chairman Garrett called the meeting to order and then turned the
public hearing over to the Chairman of the Orange County Planning
Board, Charlie Johnston.
