MINUTES
BUDGET WORK SESSION
June 1, 1983
The Orange County Board of Commissioners met in special session with the
Department of Social Services and the Health Department on Wednesday, June 1,
1983, at 7: 30 P.M. in the Commissioners ' Room of the Orange County Courthouse,
Hillsborough, North Carolina.
Commissioners Present: Richard E. Whitted, Chair , and Commissioners Ben
Lloyd, Shirley E. Marshall, Norman Walker , and Don Willhoit.
Mr. Thomas M. Ward, Director of the Department of Social Services, made the
following budget requests:
a. Another protective service worker - $14,040
b. More travel funds
c. Day Care Addition - $40,000
d. Pamphlets from Interfaith Council - $200
Mr . Jerry Robinson, Health Director , made the following budget requests:
a. Dental Assistant - $9,000 or $6,000
b. Half-time Health Educator - $6,635
c. Office Supplies - $1,000
With no further business to come before them, the Commissioners adjourned.
