Dear Commissioners,
At the Board's November 5, 2013 regular meeting, three petitions were brought forth which were
reviewed by the Chair/Vice Chair/Manager Agenda team. The petitions and responses are listed
below:
1) Review and consider request from Justice United regarding the Board's consideration of Tenants'
Rights and Obligations.
Response: The Board will consider this item at its December 2, 2013 meeting.
2) Review and consider request by Commissioner Rich that the Board consider sending a letter to RENA
requesting that it withdraw its complaint from the EPA.
Response: For Board discussion in closed session on November 19, 2013
3) Review and consider a request by Commissioner Rich that the Board consider a proposed resolution
asking Governor McCrory and the N.C. General Assembly to reconsider its decision to not expand
Medicaid.
Response: This item will be on the November 19, 2013 BOCC meeting agenda for Board
consideration.
This letter will be provided as an Information Item on the November 19, 2013 agenda for public
information.
