PURPOSE: To consider cancellation of the November quarterly public hearing.
BACKGROUND: The November quarterly public hearing is scheduled for Monday,November 25,
1996. With one exception,there are no items to be considered at that time. The
one item that could have been considered is proposed ordinance amendments to
implement recommendations of the Stoney Creek Small Area Plan, an item
estimated to take 20-30 minutes. Staff review indicates additional refinements are
needed before the amendments are presented at public hearing.
In that the Board considers the public hearing announcement at least three weeks
prior to the hearing, staff proposes that this item be scheduled as a public hearing
item for presentation at the December 17 meeting. To accomplish this, the public
hearing announcement along with copies of the proposed ordinance amendments
would be presented for Board consideration at the November 19 BOCC meeting.
RECOMMENDATION: The Administration recommends cancellation of the November 25 quarterly
public hearing and scheduling of a public hearing at the December 17 meeting for
the proposed ordinance amendments related to the Stoney Creek Small Area Plan.
